The Listing at Open Secrets 2014

The Listing team were delighted to once again be involved in the Royston Open Secrets event at the Heath on Sunday.  Editor Cath Boughton told me:

We had a superb day, meeting in excess of 45 local businesses and 30 organisations from the Royston area.

The Listing at Royston Open Secrets

During the working week, a significant amount of our time is spent at our desks communicating with our customers and contributors by ‘phone and email, so an event like Royston Open Secrets is especially important to us as it gives us an opportunity to meet our clients in a relaxed and informal environment.

One of the biggest bonuses is the amount of positive feedback we receive which we wouldn’t otherwise get to hear.

For example, readers saying to us how they rely on The Listing as their local publication to keep in touch with what’s going on in their area, and how they look forward to the magazine arriving through their door each month.

Comments from our customers such as “It’s so nice to deal with a lovely team such as The Listing!” and “[Advertising with The Listing has] been brilliant for us.  Customers come up to us clutching our advert from The Listing asking if they really can post their parcels for less!”

We were even given our very own Royston teddy bear by local entrepreneur Laura, who is hosting her first craft fair and popup tearoom at the Town Hall on Sunday 22ndJune.  Royston the Bear currently has pride of place in our office.

We gave away very many pencils and sweets to visitors to our stand, and were delighted to award Free advertising prizes to our competition winners, Orchard House Bed and Breakfast, and Fighting Fit.

We look forward to returning to Royston Open Secrets next year and would like to congratulate the small committee who work so hard in making ROS such a successful event for the Royston community.
