It’s Royston Open Secrets this Sunday, 17 June, and we have put in our order for some sunshine! But to be honest, the sun is not essential. Last year the rain was torrential and the wind howled but we still had a very successful event. If you doubt me, see the short video of last year’s fun http://www.open-secrets.co.uk/video.asp And this year we are planning for it to be even better no matter what the weather.
If the sun shines we are expecting a large turn out of vintage and specialist cars in the outside display area. There will also be displays by Electralites Majorettes, Sweat Threat and Chasing Tails plus some furry friends from Shepreth Wildlife Park. Toby at The Heath will be having a barbeque and cooking a giant paella. This is all in addition to the many local businesses and organisations that you can come and meet in the marquee.
If it rains there will be displays and fun in the massive 60 metre marquee. There’s enough space for us to be able to see most of the displays inside. There will also be a bar and refreshments available. Plenty for dads on Fathers Day and plenty to entertain the kids too.
So many events have been cancelled because of the weather this summer but the organisers of Royston Open Secrets promise that the show will go on this weekend.
